Cynthia & James fight to honor their mother, Tania. Through Her Name Was Tania, they seek justice, share her story, and advocate for elder protection. Her story won’t be silenced. Her fight is every family’s fight.
Our mother’s name was Tania. She lived with dignity, strength, and love. In her last days, when words had left her, we held her hand. That moment stays with us and fuels this campaign.
For nearly three years, we have been in litigation, seeking to ensure that evidence showing what happened to her is fully heard in court. The upcoming evidentiary hearing is our chance to present the full record, protect ourselves from unjust sanctions, and preserve our ability to appeal in order to correct the record.
We fight not only for our mother but for every elder whose story has been hidden behind closed doors. Elders should be protected, respected, and cared for in the way they once cared for us. Our mission is to bring transparency, accountability, and dignity, starting with Tania’s story.
These hearings are our last opportunity to present our evidence on the record. To get there, we must cover urgent legal costs: attorney preparation, transcripts, court filings, and expert witnesses.
We’ve already spent years of personal resources and poured everything we could into this fight. But we cannot do it alone. Your gift today ensures that Tania’s story is not silenced and that we can present our case with the full truth before the court.
All net funds will be deposited into a dedicated personal bank account opened solely for this legal effort (organizer: Cynthia Cintrón). We will provide updates on milestones and spending as the case moves forward. Donations are not tax-deductible. Only minimal costs for essential promotion and production of Her Name Was Tania will be used to reach the audience needed to raise funds.
Sharing who Tania was, what we saw, and why this fight matters to every family.
